Head Quality Assurance – Teaching and Learning at Design & Technology Institute (DTI)

JOB PURPOSE:

• Create, implement, and keep an eye on the Institute’s quality assurance processes and systems to ensure the highest levels of teaching and learning, student welfare and satisfaction, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with senior management, teaching staff, and other stakeholders to come up with and put into place the school’s quality assurance policies and processes.
• Give the Head of the Institute and other coworkers good advice on quality assurance issues for the whole Institute.
• Set quality standards and benchmarks for teaching and learning, student welfare and happiness, and regulatory compliance, and make sure they are met consistently in all parts of the school.
• Make quarterly reports on how well the school is doing with quality assurance and give them to top management, the board of governors, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Be in charge of and lead the Quality Assurance team’s work.
• Do any tasks that the Head of the Institute gives you from time to time.

Needed Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Education Management, Quality Assurance, or a similar field.
• At least five years of experience in quality assurance in a school setting, with a track record of getting good results.
• Experience managing and leading teams and being able to inspire and push others to do their best.

• Set quality standards and benchmarks for teaching and learning, student welfare and happiness, and regulatory compliance, and make sure they are met consistently in all parts of the school.
• Make and run training and support programs to make sure that teachers and other school staff understand and follow the policies and methods for quality assurance.
• Do regular reviews of teaching and learning, student welfare and happiness, and compliance with rules, and give top management and teaching staff feedback and suggestions for how to make things better.
• Work with other departments to make sure that quality assurance is built into all parts of the school’s processes, including administration, finance, and facilities management.
• Make and keep good relationships with regulatory bodies and other outside stakeholders, and make sure the school follows all necessary rules and regulations.
• Make regular reports on how well the school is doing with quality assurance and give them to top management, the board of governors, and other stakeholders as needed.
