Head of General Accounting at AirtelTigo
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the management of the company’s working capital by delivering concise, timely reporting on trends in the receivables.
- To ensure proper cost and revenue booking for interconnect, roaming, and fixed services for month-end financial reporting, work closely with IT, Revenue Assurance, and the Revenue Reporting Team.
- Work closely with Revenue Assurance and Interconnect Partners to make sure that disputes are handled properly.
- Provide weekly reports that prominently display the exposure to bad debt to provide early warning indications for finance.
- Ensure that all open issues are resolved as well as daily bank reconciliations.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a similar discipline.
- CIMA, ACCA, or ICAG (Final Level).
- 4-6 years of experience working in a comparable position
Qualifications & Experience
- A capacity for both independence and teamwork.
- Thorough knowledge of billing procedures from a financial standpoint.
- Organized and focused on the details.
- IFRS expertise, particularly in the areas of revenue and financial instruments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excel and other Microsoft products are known to you well.
- Assumes accountability, responsibility, and ownership.
