Hapag-Lloyd Ghana Calls For Job Applications
Hapag-Lloyd Ghana is looking for a Manager of Business Administration to direct, organize, and coordinate business administration activities across the country to ensure process integrity, internal controls, bookkeeping, and cost-cutting measures.
Your responsibility
- Budgeting (adjustments and quarterly forecasts) of overhead costs
- Produce monthly trend analyses and ensure that cost guidelines are met.
- Manage Ghana’s Business Administration and Controlling function.
- Participate in performance management for the various business units.
- Manage Finance Closure Administration (Month/Quarter/Year End) according to corporate rules.
- Manage and monitor external and internal audits, ensuring that unqualified reports are received.
- Manage the balance sheet and income statement accounts and reconcile them.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable within the company’s limits.
- Responsible for cost-saving efforts and procurement (operational and overhead costs), as well as providing comments and ideas to the procurement committee.
- Responsible for risk management in the Ghana office.
- Manage the Country’s Cash Flow within the firm parameters.
- Supervision of the country-level Business Systems group.
- Maintain a feedback channel with Area MAW BU heads to ensure alignment with the Ghana office’s strategic objectives and goals.
- Management of Country Statutory Records and Reports
- Management of Country Administration function
- Ensure comprehensive compliance with Hapag-Lloyd’s global standards and regulations, as well as local regulatory laws.
- Assist the Country Manager in relation to BA with policy implementation and day-to-day activities.
- Provide reports and analyse essential data to promote progress.
- Responsible for establishing targets and goals for specific departments within Business
- Administration and providing necessary training and development.
- Coach and develop the BA team members. Conduct frequent performance reviews in accordance with the company’s policies and Area Management requirements.
- Resolving high-level concerns
- Assist managers with problem-solving and provide guidance on departmental and personnel concerns.
- Establish and maintain an open communication channel within the Department, Area, and Region.
- Liaise with the Area Africa Office on all Controlling-related problems.
Your Profile.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, and economics.
- MBA or professional certification (ACCA, CA, CIMA, etc.) will be an added benefit.
- Demonstrates extensive expertise in shipping or related industries, as well as proven leadership skills in managing small expert teams.
- Good communication skills.
- Detailed understanding of accounting, finance, taxation, and legal requirements (local and IFRS)
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities
