Job Title: Driver

Project Brief:
The project helps Ghana’s Ministry of Energy improve the financial sustainability of the energy sector and promotes investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency. It also aims to strengthen Ghana’s climate goals and promote sustainable and inclusive economic development.
Scope of Role:
As a Driver, you will conduct all official travel in a safe and responsible manner, service and maintain official vehicles on a regular basis, consider all available information on road conditions, accessible routes, and locations, and assist with other office work when not driving.
Tasks:
- You will be responsible for providing passenger transportation in an official automobile for the office, project, and official visitors and guests, including consultants.
- You will run errands for the project, such as mailing letters and messages, paying bills, and purchasing minor amounts of office supplies.
- You will assist with the transportation of goods and complete the vehicle log correctly and diligently in accordance with GIZ regulations, as well as clean the inside and exterior of the vehicle(s) on a regular basis, ensuring the vehicle is always clean, and inspect the car on a regular basis.
- You will be in charge of maintaining the project vehicle documentation in good condition, keeping a log, and recording monthly maintenance.
- You will calculate monthly gasoline, oil, and lubricant use for the daily cash fund, indicate the need for servicing, and do minor repairs.
- You will also assist other colleagues as needed in the project, programme, or office if there is no travel or chauffeur service pending, as well as perform other office tasks as requested.
Qualifications & Experience
Profile:
- Certificate from Senior High School.
- Has a valid driving licence D.
- At least one to three years of driving experience, with references.
- There have been no serious accidents in the previous three years.
- Effective communication skills and mastery of the English language, both written and spoken,.
- Disciplined, punctual, resilient, and patient.
- Familiarity with Ghana, including the districts and regional capitals.
- Proper look and dress.
- Willingness to upskill as required by the work to be performed; appropriate measures are agreed upon with management.
Location: Accra.
