Ghana Employers Association Invites Job Applications
A reputable Oil Marketing company wants to hire a Head of IT who will be in charge of developing and implementing IT policies, standards, infrastructure designs, system applications, and network security in line with international best practices to support the organization’s business strategy.
Duties
- Set goals and strategies for the IT department.
- Choose and put in place the right technology to streamline all internal operations and help maximize the strategic benefits of those operations.
- Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve the customer experience.
- Plan the implementation of new systems and give advice to IT professionals and other staff in the organization.
- Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and form partnerships with IT providers.
- Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to make sure it works well. Direct and organize IT-related projects.
- Keep an eye on changes in technology to find ways for the company to gain a competitive edge. Analyze the costs, benefits, and risks of IT to advise management and suggest actions.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree from a well-known school in computer science or engineering. Having a certification in information technology is a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in IT and the right certifications
- Proven experience as an IT manager.
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, especially Electronic Payment and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems.
- Experience designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation. Special knowledge of the cloud, data analytics, Develops, the internet of things, and artificial intelligence is needed.
- A solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A strong strategic and business mind.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Those who want to apply must have worked on ERP systems for at least 5 years.
