Scholarship Details:

Students have access to a diverse array of academic concentrations and majors thanks to NTU’s extensive course catalog, which provides the university’s students with a wealth of educational opportunities. International students have the opportunity to get an education of the highest caliber in either Chinese or English, as the programs are presented in both of these languages.

By covering all of the students’ educational expenses, the NTU scholarship ensures that recipients will not have to worry about their ability to complete their study. The grant is only available for a maximum of two years toward master’s degree programs and three years toward doctoral degree programs.

Scholarship Advantages:

International students have the chance to enroll in postgraduate degree programs with the National Taiwan University Scholarship 2024, which is completely supported. The scholarship’s specifications are as follows:

• The scholarship will pay up to TWD 40,000 (USD 1,333) toward the tuition expenses.
• Return Ticket: Students are given a round-trip economy class ticket to get them from their home country to Taiwan.
• Monthly Stipend: Recipients of the scholarship are given a TWD 30,000 (USD $1,000) monthly stipend.

International students who are recipients of this scholarship receive all-encompassing assistance, with their tuition, travel, and living expenses paid for while attending National Taiwan University.

Scholarships for Undergraduate Students

Requirements:

All overseas degree candidates are eligible to apply.

Benefits:

• Full tuition waiver/reimbursement or full tuition waiver/reimbursement with a monthly stipend of NTD 8,000 (USD 267).

Note:

Up to TWD 65,000 ($2,167) in first-semester tuition fees will be waived. The grantee will start receiving a tuition fee refund for up to TWD 65,000 (USD 2,167) every semester starting with the second semester.

Except for administrative, thesis advisor, insurance, lodging, internet, credit, and other similar fees, which the awardees are responsible for paying on their own. The recipient must first pay the expenses out of pocket before receiving reimbursement; the OIA will then pay them back after receiving the receipt.

• 3.0 GPA or higher in their first year,
• 3.2 GPA or higher in their second year,
• and a 3.33 GPA or higher in their third year are the requirements for renewal of the scholarship.

Scholarships for Graduate Students

Requirements:

All students applying to our graduate degree programs abroad are eligible to do so (we advise you to inquire about scholarship opportunities with your potential supervisor).

Benefits:

• Monthly stipend and/or tuition waiver of up to NTD 65,000 ($2,167) every semester

Please take note that the first semester will be tuition-free up to NTD 65,000 ($2,167). A tuition price refund of up to NTD 65,000 (USD 2,167) per semester will be given to the beneficiary starting with the second semester.

This does not include administrative, thesis advisor, insurance, lodging, internet, credit, or other fees that the grantees are responsible for paying out of pocket. The beneficiary of the refund is required to pay the expenses up front and will be reimbursed after submitting the receipt to the OIA.

Maximum Time:

• Masters students for about two years
• 4 years for Ph.D. candidates

Criteria for Scholarship Renewal:

The performance of the winner will be evaluated by college committees each academic year, and they will decide if they have met the standards.

Government Scholarships

Direct applications for the following scholarships should be made with the concerned ministry or the Taiwan abroad mission in your country. NTU is not a part of the scholarship application process and is unable to help you with your applications. Please direct any inquiries you may have about these scholarships to the appropriate parties.

Other Scholarships

The payment processes of the following scholarships will be handled by the institute in charge of the scholarship program.

Nationalities eligible:

• International students of all nationalities are eligible for this grant.

Qualification Requirements:

Candidates must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible for NTU Scholarships in Taiwan 2024:

• Applicants from outside the United States may be of any nationality.
• To be eligible for the postgraduate degree programs, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, according to rule number two.
• Depending on the program in question and its linguistic requirements, proficiency in the language of instruction may be necessary.

Submitting an Application:

A separate application for the scholarship is not necessary because the NTU Scholarships in Taiwan 2023 application procedure is simplified by an online system.

In order to be considered for the scholarship, candidates must first submit an application for admission to one of the university’s degree programs. Candidates are automatically eligible for the scholarship after being accepted.
