POSITION: Delivery Manager

What is the opportunity?

As a Delivery Manager, you will be in charge of overseeing the delivery of products in Telstra Health’s EMEA portfolio and will be involved at all stages of the implementation process.

The Delivery Manager leads efforts to improve care outcomes and provide a more integrated healthcare experience for the community by effectively managing delivery schedules, resources, and technical and non-technical stakeholder expectations.

This position will require you to work at our key overseas locations around the EMEA area. Due to worldwide opportunities, the function may be required to be based in these jurisdictions on occasion or for extended periods of time (up to two years). Frequent travel between areas within the region is likely to be required due to client and market demand.

About the role:

Focusing on achieving important deliverables and projects within the GcC and EMEA area, the delivery manager will drive project outcomes:

  • Delivery Methodology: Become an expert in implementing appropriate delivery techniques, such as agile, hybrid, or waterfall practices, mentoring teams, and assuring delivery.
  • Responsible for project planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Define the project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Manage project resource allocation by communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines.
  • Track project deliverables.
  • Monitor and report project progress to all stakeholders.
  • Manage the project within the budget.
  • Implement and manage project adjustments and interventions to meet project objectives.
  • Product Collaboration: Work with implementation teams to ensure feature viability, estimate, and deliver on product priorities.
  • Delivery Leadership: Lead internal and external teams, support teams as needed with product delivery, and serve as the ‘go-to’ person for any delivery concerns. Ensure product delivery meets expectations and follows Telstra Health’s delivery guidelines.
  • Reporting: Manage operational reporting procedures as stated (including engagement and employee performance).
  • Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with technology vendors, partners, and service providers, reviewing performance, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with company goals, service level agreements (SLAs), and other agreed-upon metrics.
  • Risk Management: Ensure that risk management is implemented and applied to product delivery.
  • Process Development: Help build internal procedures and delivery mechanisms.

About You:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s or undergraduate degree (e.g., information systems, information technology, etc.)
  • Capability in finance/accounting is desirable.
  • Experience with the healthcare sector and hospital finance systems is desirable.
  • Experience directing large programs to deliver technical goals.
  • Experience managing outcomes and capabilities in large business environments, including assistance for teams of over 20 staff members.
  • Two years or more of experience working with software product organisations, managing the supply of SAAS software or equivalent products.
  • Experience with project coordination activities, which include:
    • Project planning
    • Resourcing/scheduling
    • Budgeting/forecasting
    • Team/Stakeholder Engagement
