ROLE: Accounts Payable Associate – Payments

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The P2P Payments method is handled by the Accounts Payable Associate. The Accounts Payable Associate is in charge of making sure that regular payments, urgent payments, cash-on-delivery payments, voiding payments, answering customer questions, helping with ongoing improvement, and holding meetings with field offices every two months, among other things.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Actions related to operations
- Process payments according to the Service Level Agreement and send the payment papers to the field office payment receivers.
- Upload bank outputs to the online bank app and handle errors by working with Field offices.
- Monitor and process urgent payment requests and Payment on arrival requests
- Process the payment cancellation based on the need.
- Any other business tasks that the Team Lead gives out
- Make sure payments are made according to the SLA and shared with field offices through SharePoint.
- Make sure the bank file is loaded onto the bank platform on time and send it to the bank for approval.
- Make sure that the calls to cancel are handled correctly and on time.
- By working well with Invoice Team, you can make sure that pressing payments and POD requests are taken care of correctly and on time.
Relationships with and engagement of customers:
- Act as the first point of contact for any customer problems, fixing and looking into questions as needed. Does root cause analysis for big problems that have gotten worse.
- Help the supervisor when training lessons are given to field offices and other customers
- Drive the meetings with area offices every two months.
- Customers know about changes and improvements to the process.
- Customers feel important and active.
- Problems and issues are dealt with in the right way, and everyone agrees on a solution.
- When trying to solve an increase, you should do a root cause analysis to give value to the people who are involved.
- Depending on how much help the boss needs with the payments process,
- Coordinate and lead the bi-monthly meetings with field offices to share information about the business.
Continuous Improvement:
- As per business goals, help with the different transitions needed to finish the project.
- Help improve the Payments process by taking part in process/continuous changes.
- Increase output, improve quality, and cut costs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in finance or accounting, with at least three years of related work experience or an equal amount of schooling and experience.
- Ability to use accounting and financial processes with ease.
- Know how to use Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Accounts Payable or the Procure-to-Pay process
- Time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with workers, leaders, and suppliers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
