Position Description
The Global Network Processing organization is in charge of expanding network processing on VisaNet globally. As a Senior Manager in the Global Processing Strategy for SSA, you will be responsible for the integration of business and processing to achieve synergies in processing and product strategies.
Principal Responsibilities
- Lead Visa’s processing strategy in collaboration with the government, central bank, and other regulatory bodies. Engage with these organizations to increase Visa’s influence in the electronic payments industry. Increase market awareness among important non-bank stakeholders to ensure a level playing field.
- Build strong partnerships with functions to ensure they are aligned with supporting priorities, in-market efforts, and so on, and create performance accountability.
- Manage Visa’s processing risks and issues closely, ensuring effective risk reduction and escalation as needed internally and externally with government colleagues.
- Take overall responsibility for SSA’s financial targets and goals.
- Recommend solutions to identified business bottlenecks in all areas.
- Provide relevant stakeholders with competent advice and consulting on both tactical and strategic goals.
- Conduct an assessment of completed activities and deliverables to confirm that they are in line with the processing strategy goals.
- Ensure that essential Product, Sales, and Acceptance activities are in sync.
- Ensure that the regional and country sales teams are effectively communicated with and that the key stakeholders understand the strategies and action plans.
- Support the creation of a Processing budget to meet company objectives.
- Assist with the creation of a network processing sales plan that includes key indicators to guarantee revenue targets are understood and met.
- In close collaboration with local relationship management and product teams, identify, qualify, and quantify market-specific opportunities.
- Demonstrate a thorough awareness of Visa’s processing capabilities as a whole, as well as specialized knowledge and leadership of network processing goals.
- Identify opportunities for value-added processing and showcase the commercial and performance benefits to respective clients.
- Ensure proper end-to-end project management, including client testing and the implementation of new processing opportunities.
- Create revenue models for the offering of new processing possibilities.
Qualifications
- A graduate degree or a master’s degree is preferred.
- Payment processing knowledge and understanding, encompassing products and services, business systems and processes.
- Experience in the card issuer/banking/retail, banking/financial services sector or payment company.
- Direct management experience in a network processing area.
- Excellent project management abilities.
- Excellent time management abilities and the capacity to meet targets with little management monitoring.
- Technical expertise.
- Expert understanding and influence in SSA by selling the VisaNet story (features, benefits, and so on).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities are required to influence top-level international bankers’ attitudes and decisions.
- Strong self-management abilities, as well as evident drive and energy.
- Experience in sales or business growth, as well as proven negotiation skills.
- Multicultural awareness and interpersonal interaction management, as well as the capacity to operate well within SSA, are required.
- The candidate must be able to travel regularly.
