POSITION: Lubricants Sales Engineer

Qualification

A degree holder with a BSc in Engineering, ideally Mechanical Engineering or Petrochemical, and at least four years of industrial experience in Lubes/ Tribology is qualified for on-the-job training to become a Lubricants Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Following the 12 guidelines, reporting incidents, and working under the supervision of safe management.
  • Lubricants Reference for General Trade, Excluding Mines; Garage/OEMs, Manufacturing Industry
  • Construction, agriculture, logistics/transportation, oil and gas, power/energy, service, and so forth.
  • On the General trade front, responsible for boosting lubricant sales and meeting profit targets.
  • Provide lubricant technical support to all general trade customers, including technical visits, product recommendations, and product testing.
  • Lube survey, oil analysis, product update, identification, and implementation of Continuous Improvement Processes (CIPs)
  • Prospect and sign up ANAC clients.
  • Promote the introduction of new products and tools to the channel, such as Lubrilog, TIG 6, Optimizer, and so on.
  • Prepare offers/proposals for new prospects that include a margin analysis.
  • Use any digital tool that is available, such as Salsa, e-learning, E-lube, and so on.
  • Lubrication solutions are provided on scheduled visits to GT clients.
  • Prospect for and sign new GT lubricant clients, as well as manage their accounts.
  • Assist the GT team with their lubricant prospecting endeavors.
  • Monitor competitors’ strategies to assist LSM/LM in developing an effective plan.
  • GT clients should schedule and attend frequent Lube trainings.
  • Assist the team in the organization of a Lubricant Seminar for GT clients.

On the Ghanaian market, there are other big lubricant rivals. TOTAL’s 32% market share places it among the major players in the Network, Mines, OEMs, Industry, Marine, and Distributor areas.

The key distinctions between the various brands are mostly in the differentiation in communication on Product Superiority and Technical Support, which assists Marketing Teams in pushing items.

This job works with the General Trade team to increase lubricant sales and provide technical assistance.
