Position: PROJECT ENGINEER
Position Description
We expect you to direct, coordinate, and exert functional authority over engineering projects’ planning, organization, control, integration, and completion.
The position can be based in any of our EMEA production locations, including the United Kingdom (West Yorkshire), Spain (Terrassa), Italy (Lombardy), Germany (Krefeld), and Sweden (Helsingborg).
Principal responsibilities:
- Plan and develop an engineering strategy, as well as arrange the project team.
- Manage an internal or external engineering project team.
- Assign members of the project team to various phases or parts of the project, such as technical studies, product design, specification and technical plan development, and product testing.
- Assist Project Managers in supplying engineer estimates, job scopes, and other civil engineering details for other projects.
- Examine the design for adherence to engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and associated specifications.
- Maintaining corporate engineering standards is your responsibility.
- Coordination of activities involving technical developments, scheduling, and problem resolution in engineering design and testing
- Show by your actions that safety and compliance are important aspects of this role.
- Create project scopes, estimates, and budget papers.
- Design revisions, specifications, and drawing releases must be evaluated and approved.
- Travel of 10% to 25% is projected.
Requirements
You will require the following items:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related subject is required.
- Several years of expertise in the chemical industry
- Ability to operate well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced business environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong client focus and capital project implementation experience are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate with others are required.
- Excellent Microsoft Office abilities (Excel, Project, and so on).
- Reading P&IDs and PFDs is required.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Professional certification in a related field (such as PE, PMP, etc.).
- Showed a competitive drive and a strong focus on results and achievement.
- In contact with others, demonstrated professionalism and a strong presence.
- Clear communication and presentation skills must be demonstrated.
