POSITION: WebRTC Engineer
We’re searching for a highly technical, hands-on, mission-driven Software Engineer who is passionate about Real-Time Communication to lead end-to-end software development for new WebRTC features and quality optimizations.
You will collaborate closely with the team to design and develop with an emphasis on performance, security, and reliability, define and develop performance indicators, analyze and improve product performance, and creatively solve challenges to ensure the best experience and keep our growing user base happy.
We’d love to meet you if you’re passionate about RTC and want to solve hard technical challenges relating to scalability and performance.
What you intend to do
- Contribute to the development of software for real-time media streaming and quality enhancements.
- To achieve peak speed, collaborate across software layers such as the browser, WebRTC internals, backend services, and internet routing.
- Use your expertise to boost dependability and performance.
- Create, build, and test scalable, high-performance software.
- Increase the attendance of a single meeting to over 10,000 people.
- What you’ll require
- WebRTC and SFU-based real-time architecture expertise
- Knowledge of multimedia frameworks such as GStreamer or ffmpeg
- Typescript/JS plus at least one low-level language, such as C, C++, or Rust, are required.
- Create, test, and implement new features to improve video call quality and experience
- You’ve previously collaborated with a team on a real-time video and audio solution, preferably on the server side.
- You will be part of a fully distributed remote team; we anticipate you to have prior experience working in a remote enterprise.
