Job Description
BRAVEAURORA is a non-profit organization in Ghana’s Northeast Region seeking an appropriate Head of Finance and Operations to oversee the organization’s finance and operations functions. The officer will work full-time to create and implement financial and operational plans throughout the firm. The candidate should be willing to live in Walewale, North East Region.

We need a “Head of Finance and Operations” with extensive knowledge and expertise in the non-profit sector in Ghana. The functions include managing the organization’s operations, guaranteeing smooth and effective financial administration, and assisting with strategy creation and goal achievement.
Job Summary
The candidate will have the following specific responsibilities:
- Work with team leaders to produce operational, financial, and budgetary plans.
- Set annual performance and development targets for employees to ensure optimal performance.
- Plan, monitor, and analyze key indicators for day-to-day operational performance to guarantee efficient and timely completion of all critical initiatives;
- Oversee the organization’s financial and administrative activities, including budget management, financial reporting, developing and maintaining best practices, and ensuring excellent internal control systems;
- Maintain the organization’s rules and standards, ensuring that regulations are obeyed and nonconformances are thoroughly examined;
- Identify and maintain strategic relationships with other non-profits and implementation partners.
- Create collaborations through networking and advocacy with the public and private sectors to promote child well-being and BRAVEAURORA’s visibility;
- Promote high-quality, cost-effective interventions and outcomes;
- Provide technical assistance with the conception, selection, and implementation of resource mobilization methods and instruments;
- Train additional personnel and partners as needed on operations standards, tools, and processes;
- Adhere to professional standards stated in acts, protocols, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure that donors’ contractual commitments are met to a high quality and that policies and procedures are followed;
- Document, analyze, synthesize, and discuss lessons learned. Additionally, analyse current operational procedures and performance and provide options for improvement.
Required Skill or Experience
The qualified applicant should normally possess the following:
- Requirements for this position include a master’s degree in management, business administration, accounting, human resource management, or a similar discipline, as well as 5 years of operational experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven understanding, dedication, and action to promote child safety, gender equality, and diversity
- Relevant computer software skills (Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks)
- Strategic awareness and good expertise in managing security, risk, and legal compliance.
- Experienced in financial and budget management, with expertise in RBM tools and processes.
- Strong analytical abilities and strategic thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
