We need a Regional Manager to run our Bolt Ride Hailing operations in North and West Africa. You will be in charge of leading the region, building and maintaining important stakeholder relationships that will help our business grow and strengthen our market position. You will also be in charge of managing, motivating, and keeping staff.
About the role
This important role will work with the Regional Director for Africa and International Markets and report to him or her. The person in charge of Tunisia, Nigeria, and Ghana will report directly to the person in charge of the role.
This is a very important, important, and rewarding job. Lagos, Nigeria or Accra, Ghana are preferred places to work for this role.

Your daily adventures will include:
- Lead the process of planning financially and strategically for the region.
- With the help of Country Managers, create, implement, and improve regional business and operational strategies and goals.
- Oversee the delivery of regional P&L against set KPIs to make sure that our investments are having the biggest impact possible and that operations are running as efficiently as possible.
- Lead regional business reviews once a month or every three months.
- Key growth plans and/or best practices should be put into action across the region.
- Keep an eye on the competition and industry in your area to help guide and direct our strategic plans.
- Learn about the needs, opportunities, and rules in your area.
- Build and grow teams in your area.
- Help HQ teams like Product, Legal, and Marketing come up with and carry out key initiatives by giving advice and working closely with them.
- Together with the Expansion team and the relevant HQ teams, set and carry out an expansion strategy for North and West Africa.
About you:
- You have worked in operations management or general management for more than seven years.
- You have a history of getting things done in a fast-paced, high-growth, cross-functional, and regional environment.
- You are a strong leader and good at working with others. You are also good at negotiating and communicating (both orally and in writing).
- You know how to build relationships with leaders and peers, figure out what their concerns are, and speak up for your priorities.
- You are a hard worker because you don’t give up when you face problems.
- You are very good at analyzing and making decisions based on data. You have experience reporting on business metrics, trends, and using data to make decisions.
- You love learning about new technology and sharing rides.
- You take a hands-on approach and feel like you own what you do.
