ROLE: Indirect Sales Supervisor

Job Description

  • The successful candidate will work in the sales and distribution department as an Indirect Sales Supervisor.
  • (S)He will report to the Regional Sales Manager and will be in charge of the territory’s retail acquisition channels.
  • He will also work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to achieve strategic and operational objectives.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the execution and management of company strategy and plans in the region under his or her direction.
  • Accountable for achieving distribution and acquisition targets within his or her area of authority.
  • In charge of acquiring subscribers through Points of Acquisition (POAs) within his or her allotted zone.
  • Accountable for the leadership, training, and coaching of personnel directly under his or her direct control.
  • Supervise and train POAs on activation procedures.
  • Maintain and expand an active and productive POA base in the allocated area.
  • Ensure that sim and scratch cards are readily available at all POAs and POSs.
  • Communicate activation targets, promotions, product, and commission structure to all POAs as soon as possible.
  • Recognize market and trade opportunities.
  • Collect market intelligence and provide feedback to RSM.
  • Plans, implements, and provides feedback on BTL (Below-The-Line) operations with external agencies.
  • Work in the market on the route specified by the Salesman or AAD at least twice a month.
  • Review daily route performance with each salesman and/or AAD on his team. This should be compared to the agreed-upon route plan.
  • Ensure proper product visibility and display in all outlets in accordance with the company’s agreed-upon criteria.
  • Plan and carry out all sorts of Agent fora to ensure merchants have a thorough understanding of the product.

  • Meeting volume and value targets
  • Good product distribution in supervised outlets.
  • Meeting operational benchmarking norms.
  • Personnel development

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing, Business Studies, or a comparable field
  • Two (2) years of experience in a Sales and Distribution capacity, as well as operating experience, preferably in FMCG.
  • Knowledge of IT software such as Microsoft Office, Distribution Management Systems, and so on
  • It is necessary to be able to communicate effectively and concisely in both verbal and written English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required, as are execution and reporting abilities.
  • Must be a licensed driver with a clean driving record.
