At Earthworm Foundation, we believe that more responsible supply chains are possible. To do so, we work daily with companies to develop solutions that respect the environment and people.
Our customers, large multinational companies sourcing many commodities, want to know how much their supply chains are linked to deforestation and how to transform and become deforestation-free.
This is where you come in !
As Data Analyst you will work on exploring deforestation data and creating compelling data stories, charts and graphs for our customers, to help them understand where they stand regarding deforestation in their supply chain and which actions to focus on.
You will be part of a global team and work closely with other teams around the world to create state-of-the-art reports that are impactful and easy to read, yet show the in-depth analysis that goes into producing them.
Your job :
- Overlay forest and deforestation with traceability information of various commodities (palm oil, cocoa…) to provide insight into the impact of deforestation on our customers’ supply chains.
- Collaborate with your colleagues in Indonesia, Malaysia, Africa, Latin America and Switzerland to present results of the analysis on reports, reflect on actions and recommendations to address the issues, and contribute to develop strategies to reach deforestation-free supply chains.
- Work on large data sets to produce quality data. Analyse the information you have produced to explain major trends and come up with initial suggestions and actions for our customers.
- Be an active team player. Stay on the lookout for ways to improve our internal processes and how we work together.
- Your direct colleagues are currently based in Malaysia and Switzerland.
Your profile:
- Education: Bachelors/Masters degree or equivalent in data management or related field
- Experience : 2-3 years in a similar role.
- Contract : Open-Ended Contract
- Work Place : Takoradi (Ghana), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) or Jakarta (Indonesia)
You are motivated to work for the environment and want to put your analytical mindset, sense of quality and detail at the service of the cause. Fluent in English – to communicate with your colleagues around the world – and the local language – to blend into the local team – you are also customer focused.
At ease in manipulating large data sets with Excel or equivalent, ideally experienced in databases and familiar with producing reports – using PowerPoint or equivalent – you are able to work under minimal supervision (remote management) and highly committed to delivering quality work in a timely manner.
