A reputable media organisation is looking to hire a Security Coordinator
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To plan and implement a comprehensive security strategy to ensure safe and a well-protected working environment for staff and guests.
- To assess the workplace layout and collaborate with department managers to determine security needs.
- To deploy access control security guidelines and processes at all company locations and ensure full compliance.
- To work with 3rd party security companies to select and train quality personnel for the company.
- To work with all stakeholders to gather security intelligence and implement preventive measures.
- To develop work schedules, allocate tasks, and monitor security guards’ performances.
- To coordinate responses to emergencies, and security alarms, and compile incident reports.
- To plan and deploy surveillance equipment at all security points at the premises.
- Prepare surveillance equipment
- To maintain schedule and facilitate repairs in a timely manner.
- To keep abreast with new technologies and advancements in security service and update the security guidelines and installations with new trends.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ex-service with strong security training from the Ghana Armed Forces and Police Service.
- A higher Diploma is required.
- A bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline will be an advantage.
- Must have state-prescribed security training, licensing, and registration.
- Ex-service personnel of at least 25 years and above experience in a previous senior security role
- Extensive experience in implementing security guidelines and enforcing access control measures.
- In-depth knowledge of security techniques, procedures, and surveillance equipment.
- Knowledge of the security industry regulations.
- Advanced ability to coordinate responses to security breaches and threats.
- Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be available to respond to security alerts outside of business hours.
- Good Judgment in all security situations.
- Exceptionally vigilant and proactive
