Position Summary:
Crown Agents is looking for a Senior Accountability Expert to help with a USAID-funded project to adopt the Education Accountability Framework and make the primary education system more accountable. The Senior Accountability Expert will be in charge of organizing all activities in his or her assigned governate that have to do with systems and policies.
Reporting and monitoring:
The Senior Technical Advisor – Systems Strengthening Activity is in charge of this job.
Expected Outcomes:
- Setting up the right conditions for accountability by making sure that tasks are done well.
- The performance and interactions of all key players got better when the MOE and its agencies were able to implement more accountability systems.
- The MOE and its agencies improved their data management tools so that they could be held accountable.
- Data sharing and use are better to make people more accountable.
Responsibilities:
- Will be part of the Project Implementing Unit and will work closely with the MOE, GES, NASIA, NTC, NaCCA, and other agencies and affiliates to lay the groundwork for accountability in the basic education system.
- Set up a good way to work with the government and other operational partners at the level of SAGES SSA.
- Facilitate policy review talks about strengthening systems and make tools to measure their effects; and
- Take part in making a plan and budget for the project’s next year;
- Take part in the creation, implementation, tracking, and evaluation of strategies, as well as baseline, midterm, and final evaluations of the SSA and other assessments.
- Make sure that information about governance is shared within the company, with partners, and with other interested parties at the SSA level.
- Share details about the project’s successes with all interested parties, including the government at the SSA level;
- Make sure that the project’s success, problems, and lessons are written down and shared;
- Make sure that all of the needed information is gathered and written down well.
- Put together and share monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports of the SAGES SSA from Crown Agents.
About you, your skills:
Required:
- At least 5 or more years of experience in a leadership role where you were in charge of making policy frameworks, ideally in the education field.
- Must have been a boss for at least two years.
- Shown experience dealing with government agencies, actors, and other stakeholders at the national and district levels.
- Experience working at the level of the school ecosystem and putting policies into place.
- Showing that they know how to plan and budget for a national system.
- Systems creation and rollout skills have been shown.
- Shown that they can run workshops, training sessions, and strategic planning meetings.
- Experience with making and using methods for monitoring and holding people accountable.
- Knowing how to handle data, analyze it, and write a report.
- BA degree needed. Master’s degree preferred in Education, Public Policy, Human Resources, or a similar area.
- Knowing how important gender, youth, and social inclusion problems are and showing that they are important to them.
- Showed dedication to the principles of gender equity, diversity, inclusion, and PSEAH (safeguarding) in past jobs.
