ROLE: Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Specialist

Company Profile

Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited (CNML) is a subsidiary of Shandong Gold Mining Co. Ltd., which is listed on both the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. CNML is developing its core asset in Ghana’s Upper East Region with the strategic aim of creating a world-leading, highly lucrative, and responsible gold mining operation.

Job Description.

  • Location: Bolgatanga (mine site).
  • Unit: HR Department: HR & Media
  • Job reports to: the head of the department or his delegate.
  • Direct Reports: None.

Job Purpose

To make sure that the SAGE HR System and any other HR applications used by the company are set up, used, and maintained correctly. This is to protect data and make sure that it is correct, safe, and up-to-date so that decisions can be made in line with policies and procedures, strategic direction, best practices, and the law.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • As the main HR systems technology professional, I provide technical support and solutions to users when they encounter mistakes or gaps.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to personnel on how to use and maintain SAGE and other human resource information systems.
  • Work together with other team members to administer and support all HR system technologies and innovations that increase HR operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assists with projects such as data and workflow management, performance and compensation administration, learning management design and training, and serves as a liaison between Human Resources, Information Technology, Benefits, and Payroll to support HR and corporate initiatives.
  • Provide on-the-job and formal training to human resource data system users who use proprietary software and company applications.
  • Prepare, manage, and update personnel data for the HR information system in use.
  • Create visually engaging infographic dashboards using reports. This includes creating and maintaining regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) and ad hoc reports, statistics, and backups to aid decision-making.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor in accordance with the needs of the company.

Required Skill or Experience

Minimum Qualification(s)

  • Degree or equivalent in human resources, statistics, social sciences, or a related area.
  • Professional certification in Data Analytics or Human Resource Management.
  • Minimum experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a similar job in mining, manufacturing, technology, or a related area.
  • Extensive familiarity with HR information systems and applications, such as SAGE, PERSOLSAP, or any other relevant system.

Knowledge (in-depth)

  • General working understanding of HR operations and data processing issues.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Power Apps, and related programs.
  • Computer programming and coding language.
  • Capable of creating interactive databases and templates, as well as using data analysis tools.
  • Advanced hands-on expertise in Excel modelling and visualization.
  • Advanced hands-on experience in data analysis and various database management systems.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in the usage of applicable HRIS applications.
