Scholarship Benefits:

The University of Technology Sydney is currently accepting applications for the UTS RTP Scholarships Australia, which are scholarships that come with complete financial support. This scholarship offer provides complete reimbursement of all of the following costs:

• Full Tuition Fee
• Living Allowance – Offered for a period of up to three years, at a rate that is similar to the current RTPS rate (the 2023 rate is fixed at $32,500 per year, subject to indexing).
• Lastly, overseas Health Cover (OSHC) is an abbreviation that stands for Overseas Student Health Coverage. This type of insurance provides coverage for individuals or families throughout the entirety of the program.

Eligible Nationalities:

All nationalities are welcome to apply for this award, which is open to international students.

Eligibility Criteria:

Students who meet the following requirements will be considered for an RTP Stipend:

• During the year of the RTP Stipend, you must be enrolled in a higher degree by research (HDR) program at UTS.
• Not be receiving an equivalent award, stipend, or salary to conduct the HDR that provides a benefit of more than 75% of the RTP Scholarship stipend rate. The 75% criterion does not apply to any income that is obtained from activities or sources that are unrelated to the course of study.
• It is incumbent upon applicants to ensure that they meet the appropriate application deadlines by submitting their applications in a timely manner, complete with all of the necessary supporting material. Applications that are both incomplete and received after the deadline will not be considered.

Application Process:

Mark the box labeled “YES” in the SCHOLARSHIP/SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION part of your course application if you want to be considered for an RTPS as well as any other scholarships linked with it. Candidates are required to hand in their finished applications prior to the specified application deadline. An application that is not complete will not be taken into consideration.

New Research Students:

If you wish to be considered for an RTPS and all associated scholarships, tick the YES box in the SCHOLARSHIP/SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION section of your course application. Applicants must submit their completed application by the relevant application deadline. An incomplete application will not be considered.
