ROLE: Head of Advisory & Capital Markets
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our client’s team as the Head of Advisory & Capital Markets. This function is critical in developing and implementing investment banking strategies, advising clients on financial transactions, and managing Ghana’s capital market activities. The ideal candidate would be well-versed in the business, have a large network, and have a track record of successful consulting and capital market transactions.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Advisory Services: Lead the advisory team in providing customers with strategic financial guidance on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, restructuring, and other corporate finance activities.
- Capital Markets: Supervise capital market activities such as IPOs, debt issuances, and secondary market transactions.
- Client Relationships: Connections with corporate clients, institutional investors, and other key stakeholders: Develop and maintain good connections with corporate clients, institutional investors, and other key stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, inspire, and lead a team of experts while developing a high-performance culture and delivering great customer service.
- Transaction Execution: Oversee the end-to-end execution of financial transactions, from deal inception to close, while adhering to regulatory regulations and industry best practices.
- Market Analysis: Maintain current knowledge of Ghana’s financial markets, industry trends, and competitive landscape to inform investment strategies and client recommendations.
- Risk Management: Implement strong risk management processes to reduce transaction-related risks and safeguard client interests.
- Business Development: Identify and explore new business prospects and alliances to expand the firm’s consulting and capital market activity.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline is required (Master’s or MBA is recommended).
- A minimum of ten years of investment banking expertise, with an emphasis on advisory services and capital markets.
- Knowledge of Ghana’s financial markets, regulations, and industry dynamics is essential.
- A proven track record of performing complex financial deals effectively.
- Outstanding leadership and team management abilities.
- Outstanding communication, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.
- An analytical mentality and good problem-solving ability are required.
