ABOUT THE ROLE
Process & Plant Automation Ghana Ltd. is searching for an experienced Procurement Manager to ensure that components used to produce and maintain our sophisticated technology products are procured and supplied according to the terms and conditions agreed upon. A key part of this function is maximizing corporate value through time and cost agreements while dealing with technologically innovative items.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and implement effective sourcing strategies.
- Find viable suppliers and form business and organizational alliances.
- Negotiate favorable terms with third-party vendors.
- Approve the purchase of the required goods and services.
- Order and delivery Purchase details must be finalized.
- Examine and put existing contracts to the test
- Track and report important functional parameters to cut costs and enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with key personnel to ensure that the company’s specifications and expectations are clear.
- Expect changes in suppliers’ and clients’ comparative negotiating power.
- Through data analysis, anticipate negative situations and plan management actions.
- Manage the risks associated with supply contracts and agreements.
- Control spending and foster a culture of long-term procurement cost savings.
- Tracks order acknowledgment, generates and communicates shortfall and backlog data, and alerts internal customers to potential disruptions.
- Orders are tracked, and system lead times, delivery dates, and costs are confirmed.
- Conduct value-for-money audits on supplier prices at least once a quarter to ensure the company is getting the best prices possible.
- Ensures that orders are per supplier agreements and contracts; notifies nonconformance.
- Resolves reception and invoicing inconsistencies in collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Identifies and implements possibilities to improve efficiency.
- Do any other duties that may be assigned
- Must uphold the Quality Management System (QMS) and perform the duties outlined in the TAGG/departmental QMS target.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
- Ensure that the Department’s processes are producing the desired results, and check any appropriate documents.
- Reporting to upper management on the functioning of the quality management system and prospects for improvement
- Ensure that customer focus is promoted throughout the company
- Examine paperwork about the QMS Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or engineering.
- At least ten years of work experience, with five of those years spent in management.
- Working experience as a Procurement Manager or Head of Procurement is required.
- Professional procurement and supply chain management certification is advantageous.
