POSITION: MFS Program Manager
Job Summary
At Ericsson Mobile Financial Services (MFS), we promote financial inclusion using advanced technology. Our Ericsson Wallet Platform (EWP) enables telecom operators and financial institutions to provide services such as peer-to-peer transactions, payments, disbursements, loans, and savings. The MFS Program Manager is essential in overseeing extensive, intricate, multi-country professional services projects and guaranteeing smooth end-to-end completion.
You will assist Key Account Managers (KAMs) by providing technical insights and will be accountable for comprehensive cost estimation (Contract Fulfilment Responsible role), while also overseeing the delivery model (a combination of on-shore, near-shore, and off-shore resources). This position is crucial for effective delivery, robust customer interaction, and ongoing service enhancement.
What You Will Do
- Set up and uphold program/project baselines: outline work breakdown, determine scope, allocate resources (primarily Project Managers), and oversee implementation.
- Oversee numerous projects within the MFS cluster in different countries.
- Propel program implementation by monitoring advancement, addressing conflicts, and managing key challenges.
- Oversee IT System Integration initiatives surpassing USD 50M, utilizing various technologies.
- Implement pan-African and multi-country initiatives with cross-functional teams located across various regions.
- Participate directly in project execution with proficiency in MFS, BSS, and Cloud.
- Comprehend the business and technical difficulties associated with MFS and system integration initiatives.
- Enhance project management practices by developing new tools, techniques, and procedures.
- Cultivate customer and partner relationships by establishing trust and promoting continuous cooperation.
- Establish robust relationships with C-level executives (IT, Engineering, Marketing, Finance); ensure daily presence at customer locations as Ericsson’s primary representative.
- Address escalations according to functional governance.
- Assist with pre-sales efforts and contract drafts.
- Foster lead generation, up-selling, and funnel oversight during the engagement lifecycle.
- Guide team members, recognize potential, and facilitate their growth.
- Adjust to regional practices and guarantee adherence to Ericsson’s Code of Conduct and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) guidelines.
- Having experience with global system integrators and automation is viewed as beneficial.
You Will Provide
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- 10–15 years of demonstrated expertise in Project Management in the financial, banking, or IT integration services sectors.
- Proven effectiveness in overseeing extensive, intricate delivery initiatives.
- PMP or Prince2 certification (mandatory); Agile and DevOps (preferred).
- Practical leadership accompanied by effective delivery and stakeholder management abilities.
- Expertise in MFS, IT Systems Integration (APIs, etc.), and BSS.
- Robust financial and analytical abilities.
- Capability to guide diverse, cross-disciplinary teams, promoting collaboration and optimal performance.
- Strong grasp of OHS and a dedication to ethics and compliance.
