Financial Accountant Needed For Immediate Employment
Our Company seeks to engage a competent professional into the above-mentioned position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Financial Accountant reports directly to the Managing Director, and is responsible for:
- Ensuring proper management of the Company’s general ledger;
- Preparing and paying salaries, tax (PAYE), Tier 1, Provident Fund & Tier 2 contributions to the Ghana Revenue Authority, SSNIT and Tier 2 respectively.
- Ensuring compliance with finance and procurement policies i.c. review reconciliation of petty cash, credit card and fuel card management. Maintains fixed asset register and run monthly depreciations;
- Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts, and reports to management and the board of directors;
- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of banks reconciliations, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and related party accounts;
- Lastly, Leading the drafting of annual budget for Board approval.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
The position requires a Candidate with:
- Firstly, A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Management.
- Secondly, A Qualified Accountant and a member of any of CA, ICA and ACCA.
- Thirdly, Msc and/or MBA preferably in Finance or Accounting would be an advantage
- Moreover, At least 2 to 3 years experience in similar role.
- Additionally, Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, procedures and international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
- Furthermore, Knowledge of computerized accounting systems preferably tally and applications to include main frame terminals/personal computers, general software applications and keyboard facility.
- Then, Integrity: Being honest, truthful, and reliable. Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Also, Ability to plan and coordinate the accounting functions for the company.
- Last but not least, A good understanding of tax laws
- Finally, Strong verbal and written communication skills.
