POSITION: HR and Administration Head

Company Overview

Planet Women LBG is a lively non-profit organization that works to promote gender equality and strengthen women’s rights, following the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, and 5. Our goal is to help women and girls gain financial independence, take on leadership roles, and have access to good education and healthcare.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head of HR and Admin to join our team. This person will be key in managing our human resources and administration tasks well.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide the text you would like me to simplify. Managing People at Work
  • Create and put into action HR rules and plans that match the organization’s goals.
  • Manage the hiring, welcoming, training, and evaluation of employees.
  • Create a friendly and welcoming work environment.

Management of office tasks

  • Handle the everyday office work of the organization.
  • Make sure to follow the law, rules, and company policies.
  • Keep precise files and paperwork for HR and administrative tasks.

Making a plan for the future.

  • Work together with the Executive Management Committee to make sure HR and administrative tasks match the company’s main goals.
  • Help plan and carry out the organization’s projects and events.

Workplace Relationships

  • Act as a go-between for management and workers, helping to solve problems and address worries.
  • Encourage employees’ happiness and involvement by talking to them well and providing help.

Building Skills

  • Find out what training staff need and organize programs to help them grow and improve their skills.
  • Lead in creating a strong team that works well together.

Required Skills or Experience

Requirements

  • You need at least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or something similar.
  • Having a Master’s degree in a related area will be a plus.
  • It’s better to have a professional HR certification, like CIPD or SHRM.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in human resources and administration, including at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven experience in creating policies, working with employees, and planning for the future.
  • Having experience in non-profit work is helpful.
  • Familiar with the work laws in Ghana.
  • Basic understanding of how to prepare payroll and calculate required deductions.
  • Familiar with tools and systems for managing performance

Main Skills

  • Good leadership and ability to manage people well.
  • Great skills in talking and getting along with others.
  • Skill in using HR software and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Good at keeping things organized and finding solutions to problems.
  • Strong moral values and keeping things private.
