In this critical function, you will be in charge of implementing and overseeing effective local PV systems while adhering to regulatory requirements and Roche’s global standards. Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a successful PV system, while maintaining compliance with Roche’s global standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • By promoting openness, consistency, and collaboration, proactively addressing safety issues, enabling strong PV operations, and supporting Roche’s patient safety approach within the local healthcare ecosystem.
  • Enable a transparent and efficient local PV system.
  • Maintain thorough management of local PV compliance, assuring inspection readiness, and acting as the key point of contact for safety-related elements internally and externally, including serving as a qualified person for pharmacovigilance (QPPV) or similar, as needed by local regulations.
  • Collaborate with pharmacovigilance hubs to ensure high-quality safety-related activities, monitor product safety profiles, meet regulatory requirements, and maintain license. Implement Roche safety vigilance in the affiliate to foster a customer-centric mindset and deliver value for patients.
  • Influence and develop the local safety regulatory environment in partnership with local pharmaceutical associations, healthcare organizations, and patient groups to promote stronger and safer healthcare systems.

Who Are You?

We’re seeking an experienced, innovative leader who is passionate about patient safety and dedicated to quality. We are looking for an experienced PV leader who is passionate about patient safety and committed to excellence.

Experience and Competencies

  • An appropriate degree (e.g., MD, life sciences, public health, or pharmaceutical medicine). The Ghana Food and Drugs Authority recognizes formal training in pharmacovigilance.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years in affiliate PV or similar domains (e.g., medical affairs, clinical operations, medical information, clinical product development).
  • PV proficiency and a thorough understanding of the decision-making process in both local and global PV ecosystems. Safety risk management and integrated healthcare solutions.
  • Deep grasp of the local environment and proven ability to establish partnerships internally and externally, along with expertise in influencing and negotiating with important parties.

Leadership skills

Strategic customer-centric mentality, with a solid understanding of patient journeys, healthcare systems, and regulatory landscape systems. Thinker, outcome-focused planner, and inspirational coach.
