Job Description

We are looking for a highly driven and skilled Manager to join our consulting unit. The chosen applicant will be responsible for leading teams, project management, aiding clients in establishing and implementing effective strategies, and improving operational efficiency in order to succeed in their markets.

Key Performance Areas:

Project Management:

  • Manage consulting projects while adhering to timeframes, budgets, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and suggest mitigation options.
  • Create detailed project plans with timeframes, budgets, and resource allocation.

Strategy Development and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with the consulting team to create customized solutions to handle client business difficulties and generate growth.
  • Conduct extensive research and analysis to uncover industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market prospects.
  • Assist with the formulation and implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring that they are in line with the goals and objectives of the clients.

Operational Efficiency Improvement:

  • Analyze your clients’ company processes and operations to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Create and implement operational improvement plans, such as process redesign, resource optimization, and performance measurement.
  • Help customers undertake change management initiatives to improve operational efficiency and company performance.

Data Analysis and Insight:

  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate data from diverse sources to provide insights and suggestions to clients.
  • Use analytical tools and procedures to uncover patterns, trends, and areas for operational improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to share findings and practical recommendations with clients.

Business Development

  • Actively engage with clients to identify new business prospects and contribute to overall business development.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on strategy and business operations issues.
  • Understanding clients’ company objectives, issues, and industry dynamics allows us to give unique solutions and advice.

Strategic Impact 

  • Help the team complete assigned engagements and projects.
  • Manage the implementation of agreed-upon deliverables.
  • Maintain quality and timely delivery as per the service-level agreement (SLA).

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a second-class upper-level degree in business administration, management, or a similar discipline.
  • Master’s degree is preferable.
  • PMP certification.
  • 6–7 years of demonstrated experience in strategy and operations consulting, ideally in a similar role.
  • Extensive expertise in administering donor-funded programs.
  • Experience managing USAID, EU, and World Bank projects.
  • Experience managing projects in multinational environments is an added benefit.
  • Exposure to public sector settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as the capacity for critical and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to clients and internal teams.
  • Proficient with data analysis and visualization software, such as Excel.
