POSITION: Assistant Estates Officer
Company Description
Graphic Communications Group Ltd (GCGL) was founded in 1950 as a private enterprise on the Gold Coast by the Daily Mirror Group of Britain. During that period, the company was referred to as the West African Graphic Company Limited.
Primary Responsibilities
- Aid in identifying maintenance needs, organizing maintenance schedules, and preparing cost estimates/budgets for necessary work.
- Support the ongoing supervision of projects and repairs to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Conduct inspections of company properties and compile monthly reports on the condition of fixed assets
- Support the creation and upkeep of an inventory for fixed assets
- Evaluate company properties before rentals, create advertisements, and negotiate rental income
- Oversee the daily management of the cash fund
- Make certain that all company properties are kept in a tidy environment
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A strong first degree in Estate Management, Building Technology, or a related field, accompanied by at least 2 years of pertinent work experience
- HND in Estate Management, Building Technology, or an equivalent qualification, along with at least 3 years of pertinent work experience
- Having experience in a media environment will be beneficial
Required Skills and Competencies
- A collaborative individual with a strong sense of dedication and integrity
- Effective communication abilities
- Proficient in negotiation and team development
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines with minimal oversight
- High level of computer proficiency
- Familiarity with design software
