POSITION: Fundraising Officer

Role Description
The MENTORS FOUNDATION is looking for a full-time Fundraising Officer. The Fundraising Officer will be in charge of creating and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating connections with contributors and sponsors, planning fundraising events, and overseeing donation campaigns. This position is mostly based in Accra, but can be located anywhere in Ghana.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Creating and implementing fundraising strategies to attract gifts, grants, and investments.
- Create campaign plans to boost the organization’s fundraising goals.
- Manage and maintain relationships with current and potential donors.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and events to help promote the organization and raise funding.
- Identification, evaluation, and negotiation of potential financing sources.
- Analyzing fundraising campaign results and reporting them to management.
- Create financing proposals and strategies to support the organization’s ambitions and projects.
- Maintaining and updating donor records and data.
- Providing information and guidance on how to structure and monitor donations.
- Researching and analyzing effective practices in fundraising.
- Establish partnerships with businesses and government agencies to aid fundraising.
Qualifications
- A degree, master’s degree, or higher national diploma in any discipline is required.
Qualities
- Communication and Organizational Skills
- Expertise in fundraising, philanthropy, and charity.
- Strong writing skills.
- Ability to successfully express the organization’s mission and influence.
- Proven success in fundraising and donor relations, with strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Requirements: – Bachelor’s degree in a comparable field – Experience with grant writing and fundraising platforms preferred.
