WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will support all parts of the legal and compliance function and assist the team in carrying out the following responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring and assuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Assist with the creation and submission of regulatory filings and documentation required by various agencies.
- Research compliance requirements and update the compliance database as necessary.
- Assist in the development, review, and upgrading of firm policies and processes to ensure compliance with current legal standards.
- Assist the legal team in the creation, evaluation, and management of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research on diverse topics as needed and provide summaries of the results.
- Assist in keeping legal files and documents up to date and organized.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory filings, ensuring correctness and meeting deadlines.
- Communicate with regulatory agencies as needed to clarify requirements and follow up on submissions.
- Monitor regulatory developments and notify the legal team of any changes that may affect the company.
- Provide administrative support, such as meeting scheduling, correspondence management, and document organization.
- Assist with specific projects and duties.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
A dynamic person has the following characteristics and qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a post-first degree Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) program, or a recent post-first degree Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) graduate who has not prepared for the Ghana School of Law Entrance Exams.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as a great eye for detail.
- The ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and turn them into practical, actionable guidance for the organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities, as well as interpersonal skills, are required for productive interactions with personnel at all levels of the business.
- Demonstrates the capacity to work both alone and collaboratively.
- Integrity, an ethical perspective, and a dedication to fostering a culture of compliance inside the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
