We are looking for an experienced and motivated Logistics and Operations professional to join Maersk Ghana’s TbM team as a Senior Inland First Mile Agent.

As a major actor in our operations, you will be in charge of delivering high-quality, cost-effective customer outcomes across all Transported by Maersk (TbM) activities. You will work with numerous stakeholders to accomplish the required customer, cost, and standardization results while adhering to internal and local regulations. The post will be based at our Tema office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign jobs depending on vendor capacity and responsiveness, in collaboration with the Vendor Management Team.
• Ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of TbM products, avoiding unnecessary expenses.
• Collaborate with CX agents to ensure proper visibility for customers during execution.
• Maintain on-time delivery as per customer specifications.
• Optimize the consumer experience by questioning company rules and restrictions.
• Ensure that vendor billing and payments are accurate and timely, in compliance with contractual agreements.
• Resolve issues swiftly and efficiently, with a focus on client results.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
• Prioritize client requirements and expectations in all parts of business. Maintain data integrity by correctly updating connected systems.
• Use strong analytical, financial, and reporting abilities to provide insights and recommendations.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in a related capacity, preferably in logistics or transportation.
• Fluent in English.
• Inland logistics, transportation, and supply chain expertise.
• Understanding route planning, import/export procedures, and distribution operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and intrigued by new tools and technology.
• A degree in operations, logistics, or supply chain management is preferred.
• Self-motivated and result-oriented.
• Strong feeling of urgency and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Understanding of local markets and regulatory needs.
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• A strong team player with a customer-focused approach.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certifications such as CILT or CSCP (an added benefit).
