About Generation
At Generation, we think that employment has the power to alter people’s lives. We are a global nonprofit organization that helps persons achieve economic mobility through employment. Generation trains and places adult learners of all ages in occupations that might otherwise be out of reach, collaborating with governments, companies, and other system actors.
We also undertake original research and offer data insights on high-priority global workforce transformation themes to help stakeholders make informed decisions. Generation, founded in 2015, consists of a worldwide hub (Generation You Employed, or GYE) and a network of in-country affiliates. So far, the network includes 100,000+ graduates and 11,000+ employers from 46 professions and 17 countries.
When learners join Generation, 91% are unemployed, with roughly half becoming long-term unemployed. Three months after completing our program, graduates have a 78% job placement rate, which rises to 88% after six months. Of our working graduates, 68% are hired by repeat employers that have previously hired Generation alumni, and 89% work in professions closely linked to the profession for which they were trained. Employed graduates earn an average of three to four times their previous earnings.
Two to five years after graduation, 77% of our alumni from upper-middle-income nations can still satisfy their daily financial needs, while 63% can save for the future. To date, Generation’s global graduates have earned over $1 billion in earnings. Generation graduates typically have a secondary school education, are 54% female, 34% have dependents, and identify with underrepresented communities in their home country.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marketing Associate will help with the planning, execution, and management of our marketing campaigns. You will be in charge of supporting various marketing efforts connected to digital marketing campaigns and agency work management (e.g., content production, media budget allocation, performance). This position requires someone who understands how to blend creative work with data analysis for performance, has good communication skills, and is passionate about increasing brand exposure and consumer engagement.)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help plan and implement marketing strategy and initiatives.
- Help establish and implement marketing programs to reach business goals.
- Manage daily operational responsibilities for marketing projects.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to guarantee successful marketing initiatives.
- Support digital marketing strategies, such as social media.
- Help create content and manage digital channels to increase brand exposure and engagement.
- Work with designers, authors, and team members to create high-quality marketing materials.
- Assist in managing media spending for optimal campaign performance.
- Monitor and track media spending to comply with budget and strategic objectives.
- Evaluate marketing campaign performance with data and analytics technologies.
- Offer insights and ideas for improving marketing performance and ROI.
- Effectively communicate with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders.
- Create and deliver marketing reports on activities, performance, and results.
- Encourage activities to boost brand recognition and consumer involvement.
- Communicate with the marketing team to ensure alignment and coordination on all marketing initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to share ideas and solutions.
- Provide administrative support for marketing projects. · Assist with any marketing-related tasks as needed.
EXPERIENCE
Candidates for this post are required to have the following experience and qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of general marketing experience – Project management experience (working with internal and external stakeholders at various levels, including service providers and business partners)
- Consistent knowledge of digital marketing campaign development and administration, with a good understanding of how social media works (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, Google AdWords paid search, Google display, YouTube), and direct marketing (e.g., email marketing).
- Experienced in data analysis and marketing campaign performance (using tools like Excel and platforms like Google Analytics).
- Experience managing marketing budgets. To succeed in this remote work position, candidates must be self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently.
- Support and instruction will be provided electronically. Finally, the perfect individual will prosper with a problem-solving mindset and a can-do attitude, as well as proactiveness, adaptability, and collaborative skills.
