POSITION: React/PHP/NodeJs/SQL Web Developer

Union Systems Global Limited (USGL) is a private limited liability business founded in Ghana in 1998. It specializes in banking application software and value chain services in hardware and networks. It was originally called ‘Union Systems Ghana Limited’. Still, it was later renamed Union Systems Global Limited to reflect our ambition of becoming a dominant regional service provider with a global reach.

The company’s headquarters are in Accra, Ghana, and the personnel consists of sixty-two (62) skilled individuals, including permanent and contract employees, consultants, and interns.

In recognition of local content policy, USGL has established subsidiary firms in each client territory to maximize local experience and resources. We have country offices in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and Monrovia, Liberia, where we provide first-level assistance to leading banking clients through our X100+ Core Banking Application (CBA) and associated systems.

Job Description.

Role

• Independently manage all parts of PHP/React/NodeJs/SQL development and support.
• Create bespoke PHP/React/NodeJs/SQL applications for customers and make necessary modifications.
• Maintain optimal development practices and optimize reusable code.
• Consult on complicated business concerns and design considerations, data models, and the technological application architecture.
• Responsible for identifying and documenting system requirements, allowing the Technical Team to deliver a suitable solution for a successful transition.
• Participate in the planning and executing user acceptance test strategies, as well as scheduling testing of PHP/React/NodeJS/SQL apps, updates, and new code implementations.
• Create new documentation and processes as necessary to help improve, optimize, and establish best practices. PHP/React/NodeJS/SQL Development Standards

Required Skill or Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or similar field. Experience: Minimum of one year of job experience following national service.
• Development experience with React, PHP, NodeJS, and SQL
• Should have created more than two React/PHP/NodeJS/SQL applications from scratch.
• Should have experience integrating React/PHP/NodeJs/SQL applications with third-party systems.
• Must have extensive familiarity with HTML5, CSS, JQuery, XML, JSON, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Should have experience designing dynamic navigation menus.
• Strong working experience with Oracle SQL, Advanced PLSQL, MySQL, and Progress OpenEdge
• Should understand how to bulk update tables from a PHP/React collection.
• The ability to create modern, attractive online apps utilizing a combination of PHP/React and JavaScript.
• Oracle PL/SQL/Java & Progress OpenEdge programming experience is a plus.
• Experience maintaining web page layouts using PHP/React templates and themes.
• Understanding of web application usability trends.
