Job Description

AGROPAL, a developing organization, is looking for talented individuals to join its existing team and further its aim of empowering all actors in the agricultural value chain. Therefore, AGROPAL is looking to employ candidates for the following positions.

1. Production Manager

Qualification Required & Experience

• Academic and occupational requirements include a bachelor’s degree in food science, processing, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in the food processing industry.
• Candidates having less than 5 years of experience in the dried fruits business will be excluded. *** Candidates must have familiarity with mango, pineapple, bananas, coconut, and papaya. (Candidates lacking this experience will be automatically excluded). ***
• The candidate must have proven expertise and training in food processing standards such as HACCP, BRCGS, and IFS.
• The candidate must have technical knowledge of operating dryers and boilers.
• The candidate must have an entrepreneurial attitude and expertise in developing sustainable businesses.

2. Health, Safety and Environmental Officer

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree/HND/Diploma in Health, Safety, and the Environment, or a similar discipline. Work experience can be substituted for the HND or diploma requirement.
• At least two (2) years of professional or sector/industry safety experience.
• Flexibility is dependent on the factory’s production schedule.
• I’m a trained first-aider.
• Trained firefighter.
• Knowledge of how to use measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations.
• Excellent planning, analytical, and organizational skills.
• The ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications.
• Integrity and Accountability
• Fluency in English – good oral and written communication skills.
• Applicants must live near the factory location or be prepared to relocate to Akuse (Eastern Region).
