POSITION: FMCG – Sales Executive

Role Description:
Legendary Foods is searching for a passionate individual to lead the organization’s sales department, drive FMCG sales growth, direct sales strategy, and be a business leader in the organization for the Greater Accra Region and possibly additional regions in Ghana
Duties of the role:
Sales Leadership
- Responsible for designing, executing, monitoring, and adapting sales strategies.
- Assess and apply an approach for increasing B2C and B2B sales.
- Identify new channels and create distribution plans for both domestic and foreign markets.
- Identify gaps or places for improvement in existing sales channels.
- Work with business analysts to obtain valuable sales data for strategic goals.
- Sets volume and revenue goals to maximize the company’s profitability.
- Monitors report on sales performance versus budget.
- Effectively supervise and coach the designated sales team.
- Manage and enforce the credit terms of the company.
Engage in Active Selling
- Strategically finding potential B2C and B2B clients to increase small to large business accounts by initiating and closing product sales.
- Keeping a professional network of future clients/customers and company leads.
- Prospecting leads, cold calling, and negotiating beneficial deals can all help you generate sales.
Planning of Marketing Events and Activities
- Organizing and communicating product promotions and special deals to customers.
- Develop and implement well-thought-out targeted marketing campaigns and promotional activities to boost product awareness, consumer traffic, and sales.
- Collaborate with merchants to improve product exposure through strategic positioning, shelf placement, and signage.
- Prospecting for new prospects by discovering viable advertising campaigns and negotiating bargains
Manage Customers + Feedback
- Document and train sales team members to accurately document and record client concerns, and communicate with appropriate internal departments to deliver specific information.
- Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer’s complaint, discovering the source of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
- Working with field sales, retailers, and wholesalers to understand product requirements and limits.
Inventory and Team Management
- Assisted all sales team members in driving growth and development.
- Supervise, optimize, and adjust current field sales strategies.
- Create monthly sales targets for team members.
- Monitors and measures salespeople’s workload to ensure the optimum process is in place.
- Manage and engage in inventory control for the aims of theft prevention, food safety, and maximizing revenue.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned upon request.
- Candidates should be versatile and flexible, with the understanding that Legendary Foods is a rapidly growing company with a start-up culture.
Requisite Skills:
- Active sales experience in FMCG.
- Experience managing connections with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
- Customer Relationships, Retention, and Market Research.
- Ability to multitask (not at the moment, but over days and weeks), prioritise, and manage time efficiently.
- Customer orientation and the capacity to adapt and respond to various types of characteristics
- Proven customer support experience.
- Excellent communication abilities (oral and written).
- Working in a fast-paced setting requires the ability to pivot, adapt, and mobilize resources rapidly.
- Driven by outcomes and sales.
- Must be willing to relocate and go to hot, busy places.
- High level of integrity.
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Compensation will consist of a base salary plus a bonus based on performance criteria, with medical insurance available when the probation period expires.
