2023-2024 Orange Knowledge Programme
Students are invited to send in their applications for the 2023 Orange Knowledge Programme.
Orange Knowledge promotes sustainable and inclusive development. Its scholarships are for mid-career professionals in selected nations.
This scholarship
Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs-funded OKP scholarships is available for:
- short courses (round 1: 2 weeks–12 months; round 2: 2 weeks–7 months);
- master’s (duration 12 to 24 months).
Eligible Nations
The participating countries list is still being updated. In earlier rounds, OKP scholarships were available to nationals and workers in:
Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Colombia, Congo (DRC), Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Vietnam, and Yemen.
Indonesian master’s applicants should use OKP-LPDP.

2023 IGNACY LUKASIEWICZ SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
Requirements
Professionals who are:
- motivated;
- in an OKP nation;
- English- or French-speaking
- working in a national priority;
- can encourage post-study use and transfer of knowledge and experience to their employer;
- accepting the terms.

Employer statement
You and your employer must sign an employer statement. Your employer endorses your application. And that you can bring your Dutch knowledge and experience home. The OKP strengthens organizations by strengthening people.
Government statement
Civil servants may need to sign government statements. Your government endorses your OKP application.

Other needs
The school will advise you of the application criteria. This scholarship is for working professionals, thus students cannot apply. Applying for a course requires motivation:
- that you follow your nation’s priorities;
- how the training will improve you and your company;
- how you’ll apply your study lessons to your company.

Apply
This website doesn’t accept applications. Apply to your preferred Dutch education institution using the methods below.
- Examine your OKP emphasis regions.
- Verify OKP eligibility.
- Choose an OKP course. Use the OKP filter to find a study.
- Ask your company for an OKP scholarship nomination.
- Contact your preferred Dutch education institution to learn about the application process, academic criteria, and online application link.
- Apply employer statement, motivation, passport, and government statement (if required).
- Use the Dutch education institution’s URL to apply online during application rounds. Know your school’s application deadline.
Application round deadlines
Only open application rounds allow scholarship applications.
Accepting applications:
Round 1: apply between 8 February and 30 March 16.00 CET for courses starting 24 July 2023–31 January 2024.
Education institutes can apply this round. The institution of your choice may have a shorter application deadline.
Predicted 2023 rounds:
Round 2: apply between 28 June and 5 September 16.00 CET for courses starting after 1 February 2024.
All courses except co-financed master’s programs must be completed before 31 August 2024.

Selecting
The procedure:
- Candidates register with their Dutch education institution
- Dutch institution nominates candidates and submits grant application
- Embassies check eligibility and assess applications
- Selection results available for Dutch education institutions
- Grants awarded through Dutch education institutions
Results are announced 3–4 months following application. The scholarship’s Dutch education institution will notify you of the results.
