Job Title: Maintenance Lead

The purpose of the job:
This job is to make sure that all of World Vision’s GI-WASH and Northern Operations vehicles are always safe to drive and that they meet all legal requirements for registration, license, and insurance. It is also to make sure that all drilling equipment is always in good working condition for operations.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
- Make sure that new cars are processed at the DVLA so that they are fully registered and insured as required by Ghanaan law.
- Make sure that all of the paperwork on the vehicle is current and up to date (renewals on road worthiness, insurance etc)
- Supervise the team of field mechanics and driver mechanics in how they schedule their work and how well they do their jobs.
- Plan all vehicle movements and assignments for visitors and staff working on the project, and follow up on any vehicle tracking problems that are found.
- Make sure there are enough spare parts and lubricants on hand for both the drilling equipment and the project vehicles.

- Make sure that all project vehicles and drilling rig equipment are kept up to date with their maintenance schedules.
- Keep and update maintenance records for the fleet of vehicles. Make sure log books are filled out.
- Talk with P&C, the police, and the insurance company about what to do if an organization vehicle or employee is in an accident.
- Help choose drivers, get them certified, train them again, and keep an eye on them. Make sure their performance is measured and their abilities are improved.
- Make and send a monthly report to the GI-WASH Manager, ROM, and National Fleet Supervisor, who then sends it to the Finance and Support Services Director.
