POSITION: Digitisation Project Manager

Job Purpose

The creation of a project management function aims to align with a globally coordinated strategy and project management discipline identified as crucial for achieving the overarching mission and objectives of Vision Fund.

Primary Obligations

VFG’s strategy for digital innovation is 20% 

  • Responsible for VFG’s digital strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with SLT to outline the VFG digital strategy roadmap and strategize for its development.
  • Drive VFG digital innovation by pinpointing improvement areas, sharing and requesting ideas for process enhancement, and ensuring their execution. Make certain that digitization leads to tangible advantages for VFG and its customers.

Digital project management: 30%

  • Managing, Structuring, Overseeing, and Regulating project outputs.
  • Directing and managing all project execution tasks while conforming to guidelines, as well as time and budget projections.
  • Project Documentation: Business rationale, Functional specification documents,
  • Project schedules (on smart sheets), Project Agreements, Business Procedures
  • Documentation, revisions of SOPs and policies concerning digital alterations, training guides, STC meeting minutes, and post-implementation reports.

Management of change: 25% 

  • Prepares VFG personnel for transformation. Conveys the necessity to transition to digital in all our operations by the year 2030. Analyzes the reasons, methods, and timing of the digital strategy.
  • Guarantees that all internal and external customers are adequately trained and equipped for a successful implementation.
  • Make sure that users thoroughly evaluate the digital solutions to confirm they fulfill business acceptance standards for deployment.
  • Responsible for the go-to-market strategy: Guarantees effective implementation of digital solutions throughout VFG and for clients.

Reporting on digital projects: 20% 

  • Monitor and update stakeholders (CEO, COO, and Regional Project Manager) on the project’s status weekly. Updating the VFG project STC on progress
  • Oversee digital project risk issues throughout all phases, identify and escalate obstacles, and collaborate with all stakeholders to find solutions.
  • Monitor expenses for digital projects and distribute the quarterly spending report to pertinent stakeholders.
  • Monitor the KPIs of digital projects after they go live and confirm that the business realizes the advantages outlined in the business case.
  • Conduct a project post-implementation review six months after going live—record lessons learned and suggest improvements.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business is preferred, focusing on Project Management, Information Technology, MicroFinance/Development Finance, or equivalent knowledge gained from an academic program at a college/university or specialized training directly relevant to the job responsibilities.
  • 5 years of experience in a Financial Institution.
  • Should possess strong business development abilities and connect effectively with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Should possess a solid understanding of microfinance approaches, offerings, and services.
  • Should be highly familiar with VF Ghana’s main goals and business framework.
  • Should be energetic, creative, and driven.
  • Must be ready and capable of performing efficiently under stress and be focused on objectives.
  • Should possess excellent organizational skills
  • Lastly, you must be an active Christian
