University of Auckland 2023 ADB Scholarships
The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program aims to give highly qualified citizens of ADB’s developing member countries the chance to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science, and technology, the Asia-Pacific region’s participating academic institutions, as well as other development-related sectors. Benefits of the scholarship
The ADB-JSP covers the scholar’s tuition costs, airfare to and from Auckland, the cost of living necessities, health, and medical insurance, as well as a specific award for thesis writing (for scholars involved in research).
General Eligibility
You have to:
- an ADB borrowing member’s citizen. For a list of the current developing members of the organization, go to the ADB-Japan Scholarship Program.
- Been admitted to a master’s program at an accredited university.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and an outstanding academic record.
- At the time of application, have at least two years of full-time professional job experience (gained after receiving a university degree).
- In order to continue your education, you must possess strong oral and written English communication abilities.
- You must be younger than 35 at the time of application. For programs appropriate for senior officials and managers, the age restriction is 45 under exceptional circumstances.
- Have strong physical and mental health.
- Acknowledge that, once the program is through, you will go back to your native country.
Application Guidelines:
Only after being accepted into one of the approved postgraduate programs indicated above and receiving an official offer of place from the University of Auckland are you eligible to apply for the scholarship.
To apply for the scholarship, you must fill out the Asian Development Bank – Japan Scholarship application form and mail it to the University of Auckland, together with a copy of your offer letter and other supporting documentation. The deadline for submitting applications for the 2024 intake is July 21, 2023.
