Teaching is one of the most important professions anywhere but one way or the other some who aspire to be teachers do not have the means to apply for admission. We all know that teaching innovatively is the way to go but it’s very expensive.
Luckily, scholarships are readily available to people who aspire to be teachers or those already in the field but want to better themselves or get a graduate degree. In view of this, here is a list of useful resources for students who want to fulfill their teaching dream.
Firstly, Future Educators Association Prospective Educator Scholarship
This scholarship value is $1000 and is sponsored by Phi Delta Kappa (PDK). For high school graduates who want to enroll in a teaching college or undergraduates in a teacher education program. The scholarship is awarded to 30 people each year.
However, to be eligible for this scholarship you need to be a member of the Future Educators Association or be a child of a PKD member. The document required for this is a letter of recommendation, a transcript, and a personal statement.
Secondly, The Gates Millennium Scholars Program
This is a fully-funded scholarship to support those that are financially marginalized and are in the minority. Those who are awarded the scholarship receive full tuition for their undergraduate and postgraduate graduate degrees as long as they enroll in those programs.
To be eligible you need to have a GPA of 3.3, and answer eight essay questions with a minimum of a thousand words for each essay. The applicant will also need to prove the eligibility of their income .and two recommendation letters.
Thirdly, Pi Lambda Theta Tobin Sorenson Physical Education Scholarship
The worth of the scholarship is $1000. To qualify for it, you need to have enrolled for an undergraduate course in a university with an average GPA of 3.5, you should have your transcript, a resume, and a potential to be a leader in the teaching field.

Last but not least, Mathematics Graduate Course Work Scholarships for Grades 9–12 Teachers
To apply, you should have taught for three years in a secondary school, and have a letter of support from your director. In addition to that, you should have a proposal with an estimated budget.
CLOSING DATE: Applicants are to apply before October 15
Lastly, Thurgood Marshall College Fund
This scholarship is for students studying at HBCU who have a career orientation in education. When applying, applicants are to attach these documents: A letter of recommendation, personal statement, FAFSA report to help students.
