TU Delft Justus & Louise van Effen International Student Excellence Scholarships
International students are invited to apply for the 2024 TU Delft Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships for International Students.
A Brief explanation:
Scholarships for academic achievement are available to international students at Delft University of Technology through a variety of different schemes. One of these programs is called the Justus & Louise van Effen Scholarship, and its primary objective is to provide financial assistance to outstanding overseas MSc students who have an interest in studying at TU Delft.
- Host: TU Delft, located in the Netherlands, will serve as the event’s host institution.
- Program duration: a two-year program in a variety of fields of study Regular Master of Science degree programs at TU Delft
- Eligible Candidates: Students from other countries are the intended audience.
Value of the scholarship:
Both the full tuition fees per year for an MSc degree at TU Delft are based on the statutory charge or the institutional rate, depending on the student’s registered nationality, as well as a contribution toward the student’s living expenses covered by the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
- As an outstanding international applicant, you have been conditionally accepted into one of the two-year conventional Master of Science (MSc) programs offered by TU Delft (and not a Joint Education Program).
- Your cumulative grade point average (GPA) is higher than or equal to 80 percent of the maximum possible on the scale.
- You earned your bachelor’s degree from a university located outside of the Netherlands that is recognized on a global scale.
- You have met the scholarship deadline and have submitted a complete application for the MSc program.

The Process of Application
- Finish your application for the MSc program and make sure it meets all of the admission standards.
- Ensure that the Scholarship Application Form has been Uploaded.
- Upload two letters of recommendation:
- During the application process for your Master of Science degree, you will have the opportunity to upload your reference letters (in the form of a single PDF document).
- You have the ability to submit a request to your referee(s) for the reference letters. Complete the fields with information about your referee(s), then send them an invitation by clicking the button labeled “send invitation.” The referee (or referees) will be sent an email with an invitation to upload a reference for you automatically.
- You have the ability to combine the two processes. For example, one file upload and one request for a referral.
- If you have already turned in your application, any reference letters you send in will not be taken into consideration.
- After the Scholarship deadline, reference letters will not be accepted under any circumstances.
- Publish the certificate demonstrating proficiency in English.
- Please take note that students from countries outside of the EU and EFTA are required to submit an English exam along with their application (if one is necessary).
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The application for the master’s degree must be accompanied by all of the necessary supporting documentation in order to be considered for the scholarship. After the submission, you won’t be able to upload any other documents.

A Word About the Foundation Louise van Effen and Justus van Effen
Scholarships are given in multiple amounts to qualified international students who want to study at TU Delft. Excellence provided by Justus and Louise Van Effen The legacy left by Justus and Louise van Effen is used to fund scholarship opportunities. In the 1940s, Mr. van Effen was a student at TU Delft, and he held the firm belief that advances in technology would play a significant role in the resolution of societal difficulties.
The Foundation Justus & Louise van Effen was formed with the purpose of encouraging outstanding international students to pursue a Master of Science degree at TU Delft and providing financial support to those students who so desire to do so.
