VACANCY EXISTS WITHIN THE TAILINGS DIVISION OF FRASER ALEXANDER IN GHANA (CURRENTLY OPERATING AT ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI GHANA – OBUASI MINE)
POSITION: TAILINGS STORAGE FACILITY OPERATORS
PURPOSE
- To carry out instructions with regards to stopping and staring of pumps as per line
manager and operating as per site specific needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily Risk Assessment
- Shift handovers
- Valve operations
- Stop start pumps as per instruction
- Open and close valves as per instructions
- Report down time on pumps
- Report leaks and spillages
- Carry out tasks and instructions from higher line managers as requested
- Communicate to site operations with regards to density control, flow control and the stopping and starting of Hydraulic Monitoring Units.
- Monitoring of incoming and outgoing line pressure
- Cleaning of pump chambers
- Store equipment properly
- To report all defects relating to pump stations
- Do visible pump and valve inspections
- Inspection of pressure gauges
- Pump and pulley guards inspection
- Follow Written/Verbal Safe Work Procedures when executing specific tasks emergencies as per training
- Wear correct PPE for each specific task
- Follow all safety procedures and site emergencies procedures as per training and
site-specific standards - Emergency preparedness
- Report unsafe acts and/or conditions
- Participation in all training related activities
QUALIFICATIONS
- BECE or its equivalence (Basic Education)
- Certificate in TSF operations is an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years working experience on Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) is an added
advantage and should be medically fit as per company standards
