The University of Bologna Scholarships 2024 is now accepting applications from prospective students. To be considered for admission to the University of Bologna, prospective students have until July 2024 to submit their application materials.

General Eligibility Criteria:

The following options are available for candidates to choose from to demonstrate that they have a strong command of the English language:

• Capability with the language
• Exams such as the SAT, GRE, and TOLC
• Having citizenship in either the European Union (EU) or a country that does not belong to the EU but has a reciprocity agreement with Italy
• To apply for a degree program, prospective students need to demonstrate that they already possess an active credential that has been granted by the educational establishment.
• Applicants must be under the age of 30 to be considered.

Who does not qualify?

• Study subsidies and exclusions for students from other countries
• Selection of study funds for University of Bologna international students
• lower fixed tuition costs for nationals of non-EU, non-OECD, or extremely impoverished and developing nations
• Individuals who are citizens of non-EU, non-OECD nations, or particularly impoverished and developing countries are eligible to enroll at a reduced tuition rate without having to provide proof attesting to their family’s financial position.

Unit 1 and Unit 2

• The study grants and exemption program for Unibo Actions 1 and 2 have come to an end. In the academic year 2023–2024, there will be no scholarships or exclusions available for first-year enrollment.
• Renewing Unibo Action 2 study funding is limited to the academic year 2023–2024.
• Collegio Superiore: The process by which worthy overseas applicants are admitted
• All people, Italian and foreign, who are enrolling in a bachelor’s, master’s, or combined bachelor’s and master’s degree program for the first time are eligible to take the competitive examination for admission to the Collegio Superiore.

For refugees, Unibo

• a program supported by the Municipality of Bologna and the University of Bologna that aims to integrate refugee students into the academic community.
• grants given by the Italian government to IRE students and foreign students (MAECI)
• Grants are available to both international and Italian students studying abroad (IRE) through the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).
• The Ministry of the Interior’s 100 grants for refugees, or CRUI
• Grants for students under international protection are made available by the Ministry of the Interior with assistance from the CRUI.
• International students are eligible for all study grants, exemptions, awards, and incentives that are offered to University of Bologna students unless otherwise specified.

Bologna University Study Grants Coverage
