Skills Bridge Academy is an initiative by Peak Skills Africa, a creative online education platform aimed at connecting academic knowledge with the practical abilities needed in the modern job market. We equip university students and recent graduates for the job market by providing engaging, practical training in employability skills, workplace ethics, productivity, communication, critical thinking, job search strategies, and various career readiness competencies.
In line with our growth, we are looking for seasoned and enthusiastic Senior Trainers and Training Consultants who can facilitate engaging sessions and provide impactful, hands-on training to our students throughout Africa.
POSITION SUMMARY
We seek highly skilled professionals with a minimum of 10 years of corporate experience and advanced practical expertise in fields pertinent to workforce preparedness. The perfect candidates will take charge of creating, implementing, and assessing training initiatives that correspond with the mission of Skills Bridge Academy — to enable students to be exceptionally employable, effective, and professional in various corporate or entrepreneurial environments.
Duties
Create and conduct live virtual or pre-recorded training sessions on various subjects, such as:
- CV & Cover Letter Writing
- Interview Readiness
- Workplace Interaction & Professional Conduct
- Business Leadership & Group Cooperation
- Tools for Productivity and Digital Competence
- Emotional Awareness and Issue Resolution
- Tactical Reasoning & Choices
- Work Ethic, Discipline, and Time Management
- Adaptability and Culture in the Workplace
- Job Hunting & Application Techniques (particularly for global prospects)
- Create course resources, workbooks, tasks, and evaluations customized for students’ requirements.
- Provide training in an engaging, interactive, and hands-on manner that is easy for learners.
- Offer mentorship and career advice to students when suitable.
- Work alongside the Skills Bridge Academy group to evaluate training requirements and enhance course selections.
- Assess training results and suggest enhancements based on input received.
- Remain informed about the latest trends in HR, corporate management, hiring, and workplace technology.
- Engage in regular meetings with trainers and strategy development sessions.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of corporate experience in senior or management positions, ideally in HR, Corporate Communications, Training & Development, Project Management, or Business Strategy.
- Demonstrated proficiency in corporate training, career coaching, talent advancement, or human capital advising.
- Robust abilities in presentation, public speaking, and facilitation — in both virtual and in-person settings.
- Capacity to engage with and motivate young people and emerging professionals from various backgrounds.
- Outstanding communication abilities and emotional awareness.
- Knowledge of virtual learning tools like Zoom, Google Meet, LMS systems, and digital productivity applications.
- Having an internationally recognized coaching certification (such as from ICF, CIPD, SHRM, ATD, or other similar organizations) is a significant benefit.
- Enthusiastic about education, youth empowerment, and professional growth in Africa.
