ROLE: Sales Support Professional

This role manages the organization’s sales and marketing activities, which include representing the organization to promote and sell its products and services to individuals or other organizations, as well as assisting business growth by disseminating information that promotes a favorable view of the organization and its products and services. Developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying potential customers, managing existing customer relationships, monitoring customer and competitor activity, and industry trends, sales training, market research, pricing, sales, and merchandising activities, business development activities, sales operations and administration, and developing and implementing advertising and publicity campaigns

Responsibilities

  • Face-to-face and remote sales to new customers, as well as cross/up/repeat sales to existing customers;
  • Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions;
  • Developing and delivering sales bids/proposals/presentations, and conducting product demonstrations; and
  • Developing medium to long-term sales plans and strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years relevant job experience with a track record, particularly in the relevant industry / market

Experience with rotating equipment vendors is preferred.

On rotating machinery such as compressors (centrifugal and reciprocating), steam turbines, aeroderivative gas turbines, and gas turbines)

Qualities and Abilities:

  • Proficient in understanding and directing the sales process through its many stages.
  • Contract knowledge is a plus.
  • Expertise in cross-border transactions
  • Capability to Plan Identifying longer-term goals for our customers.
    • Creating SMART goals.
    • Anticipating the responses and behaviors of clients.
    • Capability to calculate and describe our company’s value-add.
  • Have difficult conversations with consumers (resolution skills).
    • Negotiate.
  • Recognize the psychology of customer behavior.
  • Energy and spinning equipment are two of my passions.
  • Self-motivated and self-driven.
  • Persistence in getting things done and seeing results.
  • Active listening is a communication ability.
  • Characteristics of speech.
    • Simple and concise
    • Volume, pitch, pause, intonation, and intensity are all variables to consider.
