The Ministry of Higher Education helps to pay for part of the MIS Scholarship. The Malaysian Government started the MIS Scholarship to encourage smart people from all over the world to go to Malaysia for graduate school.

Criteria for eligibility
- People from the above countries can apply for the MIS Scholarship for 2023.
- When applying for a Master’s or Ph.D. program, the individual can’t be older than 40 or 45 years old.
- Applicants from places where English is the main language can apply without IELTS.
- Applicants can send in their records if they have IELTS scores.
- Applicants can apply with English Proficiency even if they don’t have an IELTS score.
- Proof from the language they were taught at their former university.
- Not all Universities require IELTS.
