POSITION: Coordinator, School of Graduate Studies 

The Coordinator for the School of Graduate Studies is essential in providing both academic and administrative support for the graduate programs within the School. This role demands an individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and students to ensure the effective and seamless operation of all graduate programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Services:

  • Offer academic and administrative assistance to graduate students by addressing inquiries, processing applications, and facilitating registration.
  • Maintain and update student records, monitor academic progress, and support graduation requirements.
  • Work with faculty advisors to ensure students are progressing in a timely manner and address any academic challenges.

Program Administration:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of graduate programs and curricula.
  • Manage course scheduling and faculty assignments.
  • Organize logistics for graduate student events, including orientations, workshops, and seminars.

Admissions and Recruitment:

  • Support the graduate application review process and take part in admissions activities.
  • Promote graduate programs through various mediums, such as updating the website, creating brochures, and engaging in outreach efforts.

Faculty Support:

  • Provide administrative assistance to faculty members, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and aiding in research activities.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Keep accurate and current records of all graduate student data.
  • Generate reports focusing on student enrollment, graduation rates, and other important metrics.

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in higher education administration, ideally within a graduate school context.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
