Job Description
JOB ROLE
- In consultation with the Head of Operations, will Strategically plan, direct, and oversee all banking operations and ensure optimal service delivery in terms of processing deadlines and quality of service;
- Review all operational processes are regularly reviewed to maintain efficiency and effectiveness;
- Periodically examines current business processes & policies and introduce necessary changes;
- Manages all contract relationships with service providers;
- Implementation of short and long term plans for service delivery;
- Ensures succession planning/ business continuity; Develops a business continuity plan and disaster recovery plan;
- Ensures prudent controls and timely, accurate and efficient information flows;
- Implementation of policies and procedures related to Operations;
- Evaluate results of overall operations regularly and make suggestions for improvements;
- Coaches, develop, and effectively monitors operations staff at the branch level;
- Ensure key performance indicators, key risk indicators, and key control systems are monitored and updated on a monthly basis to provide assurance on the quality and robustness of controls;
- Ensures that operations are carried out in compliance with regulations;
- Implements the plan for new outlets in line with the company’s overall strategic plan;
- Provides operational reports and updates to the Head of Operation as required;
- Performs other duties that be assigned from time to time.
Required Skills or Experience
- University Degree in economics, accounting or business administration and
at least 5 years of experience in managing microfinance operations in a “bank” setting or regulated environment
SPECIAL / PERSONAL ABILITIES
- Determined personality with initiative, perseverance, and the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude
- Extensive experience in the operational business
- Good knowledge of economic and financial topics
- Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach
- Very good communication skills
