ROLE TITLE: Data Capturer (3 Month Fixed Term)

mothers2mothers (m2m) is an African Primary Health Care organization that engages HIV-positive women as community health workers in ten African countries. These “Mentor Mothers” provide integrated health services in clinics and communities to guarantee that everyone, everywhere has access to the services they require to stay healthy and in care.

Over the next five years, this proven, peer-led model will be scaled up to double down on eradicating HIV while also tackling new health concerns and reaching more people—all with the goal of creating a fairer, healthier future. We are offering a model that prioritizes healthcare for families in need, given by women who know them best, by employing local women as community health workers.

Since its inception in 2001, m2m has established jobs for approximately 12,000 HIV-positive women in Sub-Saharan Africa, and they have together reached over 15 million people with crucial health services and education. In 2021, m2m reached over 1.6 million people in ten African countries, including 402,616 adolescents (ages 10 to 19)—51% more than the previous year. m2m also advanced the Global Goals of ending HIV/AIDS by 2030 by virtually eliminating mother-to-child HIV transmission among its enrolled clients for the eighth year in a row and meeting all of the ambitious UNAIDS Fast-Track Targets among its clients four years ahead of the 2026 target date. Assist the Ghana Team with data collection.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Create monthly spreadsheets to document critical community-level initiatives.
• Follow up with site coordinators on hard copy data and transfer data from hard copy to digital Google sheet
• After entering data electronically, sort and organize hard copies of papers.
• After entering data, verify it with the Strategic Information Officer and make any necessary adjustments to records.
• Finalize and distribute monthly data summaries with the strategic Information Officer.
• The SI officer will create pivot tables based on the data entered.
• Assistance with the Executive Women Network (EWN) school-based CEO forum
• Assist with unique tasks requiring extensive data entry
• Record lessons learned and encourage creative writing
• Keep a filling procedure in place to ensure secure and organized storage of site reporting forms and other M&E records.
• Coordinate the supply, manufacture, and distribution of printed M&E tools for all Ghana m2m sites.
• Assist the Programme Team as needed, for as by running data reports utilized to make decisions.
• Provide occasional administrative support and any other duties assigned by the team as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a Statistical field

Competencies:

• A minimum of one year of data collection experience
• Basic administrative and computer skills
• Knowledge of statistical software MS Access and Excel, for example, would be useful.
• Basic filing knowledge
• English fluency
• Extensive precision and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities
• The ability to meet reporting deadlines and the motivation to do so
• The ability to work independently, under pressure, and with sound judgment.
• Contribute positively to the overall performance of the program team
