POSITION: Manager on Duty
Position Overview
Acts as the Manager on Duty for the property, supervising all operations and ensuring that the utmost standards of hospitality and service are maintained. Acts on behalf of property management to address any guest or property-related issues. Oversees the stream of inquiries and guides visitors within the lobby. Acts as Guest Relations Manager and oversees the monitoring of service problems.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk operations, housekeeping, or a similar professional field.
- Associate degree from an accredited institution in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a similar field; 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related professional area.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Assisting Property Operations and Guest Relations Requirements
- Fosters a robust collaboration with all departments to aid property operations and objectives while facilitating the quick resolution of any issues that may occur during the general functioning of the property.
- Informs the relevant department of any deviations from the set standards promptly.
- Distribute a copy of the MOD report to every department each day.
- Aims to enhance service quality.
- Guarantees adherence to all policies, standards, and procedures.
- Highlights guest satisfaction in every departmental meeting and concentrates on ongoing enhancement.
Aiding Profit Objectives
- Comprehends and adheres to loss prevention policies and protocols.
- Assesses staffing levels to guarantee that guest service, operational requirements, and financial goals are achieved.
- Evaluates financial statements, sales, and activity reports, along with other performance metrics to assess productivity and goal accomplishment, and identify areas that require cost reduction and program enhancement.
Overseeing The Visitor Experience
- Acts in any guest/associate scenario as necessary to ensure the property’s integrity is upheld, guest satisfaction is met, and associate well-being is protected.
- Enables employees to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Offers prompt help to guests upon request.
- Acts as a leader in showcasing exceptional hospitality abilities.
- Demonstrates a positive standard for guest interactions.
- Addresses and resolves guest issues and grievances.
- Guarantees team members comprehend customer service standards and guidelines.
- Engages with clients consistently across the property to collect input on product quality, service standards, and general contentment.
- Engages in the creation and execution of corrective action plans aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Logs guest concerns in the guest response monitoring system.
Supporting Human Resources Tasks
- Engages as necessary in the inquiry of associate and guest incidents.
- Watches the service actions of team members and offers feedback to them.
- Performs routine inspection rounds of the entire facility to assess appearance, safety, staffing, security, and maintenance.
- Honours achievements and openly acknowledges the efforts of team members.
- Guarantees that associates receive cross-training to effectively assist with daily operations.
- Comprehends and, if required, executes all emergency protocols covering accidents, fatalities, elevator issues, thefts, violent crimes, bomb threats, fire, etc.
